METHOD
Keep UTC acquisition dates 2026-09-29 through 2026-10-05 inclusive. Exclude the
latest stored day as potentially incomplete. Retain low, nominal and high
confidence records, and retain existing province/district assignments.
No incident inference, clustering, spatial reassignment, or deduplication.
Uniqueness check on latitude, longitude, date, time and satellite: no duplicate keys.
58,099 rows. Counts = number of detection records, not distinct incidents.
Province share = province count / 58,099 * 100.
Daily share = that day's Central Kalimantan count / that day's Indonesia count * 100.
Central Kalimantan: 14,530 records, 25.0090363% (displayed as 25.0%).
Daily share: 13.9569%, 3.2020%, 37.0152%, 29.3273%, 31.0466%, 29.2801%, 22.5728%.
The weekly share is pooled over records, not an unweighted mean of daily percentages.

  latitude/longitude in decimal degrees WGS84; acq_date and acq_time in UTC
  (acq_time is numeric HHMM; pad to four digits); confidence l/n/h;
  satellite N20; province and kabupaten_kota are inherited project labels.
- summary.json: exact counts by province/date and source metadata.
- indonesia-adm1.geojson.gz: unchanged simplified boundary source for map context.

FIGURES
Produced with scripts/research/reproduce-karhutlawatch.py in the fal.quest repository.
Observations: all selected locations, overlapping fixed-size points; no jitter.
Pattern: five largest province counts plus all other provinces combined; zero baseline.
Interpretation: seven daily shares, zero baseline, pooled weekly reference line.
The full geographical extent is retained. Marker size does not represent burned area.

LIMITATIONS
Thermal detections are not individually confirmed fires, causes, severity, or
burned area. Repeated observations may describe one source. Cloud, smoke, overpass
timing and retrieval thresholds affect observations. Counts are not area- or
observation-opportunity-adjusted. Confidence is a retrieval attribute, not severity.
Old administrative labels are preserved; this is not a current-province comparison.
NRT observations and region assignments may be revised. This short window cannot
establish seasonality. The pipeline filters out records lacking province assignment.
